NAC Community Arts Residency

Turf in the Park (Senses of Belonging) by Fuchsia

Turf in the Park (Senses of Belonging) is a site responsive art project by Fuchsia, an artist collaborative between Adeleine Daysor and Karen Koh. Fuchsia explores the notion of “Turf” as an arena and sphere of influence, to discover factors that shape relationships between people and place, fostering feelings of connectedness and belonging. This project taps on themes of love, play and childhood, food, and the botanical to gather insights from the people who work, eat, and play at the hawker centre about experiences that form identity and community.

In addition to the pop-up showcase, there will be stone painting workshops at the area where they’ve been doing community engagements over coffee. DM them on Facebook/ IG to sign up!
