Seafood Pirates

Seafood Pirates was an idea born seven years ago. Operators of Seafood Pirates, Darren and Leonard, first met in 2011, and immediately shared several passions. Chief amongst them was food. Well, Darren loved to cook, and Leonard loved to eat.

It kicked off on a trip to Taiwan when Darren first tried a unique dish. The unforgettable flavours and textures of the dish were etched in his mind even after he returned to Singapore. Curiosity urged him to venture on to create something similar but with local twist and flavour.

When an opportunity to run a stall at the Yishun Park Hawker Centre came about, Darren grabbed it with both hands. While the dish has gone through several iterations, Darren’s passion for serving a mean meal never wavered. Together with Leonard, he runs Seafood Pirates with the backing of their families.

With a unique broth, Seafood Pirates provides several options to whet the appetites of their steadily increasing fan-base. While other seafood soup stalls predominantly use meat broth, Seafood Pirates uses a unique blend of different types of seafood in their addictive concoction.

Hunger for improvement has kept them on the balls of their feet, motivating them to constantly look out for new ideas and concepts to bring to patrons of Yishun Park Hawker Centre. “Standing still is fine, as long as we are growing upwards,” says Darren.
